Three tyres popped when inflating them at 6 bar

I used these tyres for some time without problem but this week I had a puncture. I wasted time and money fitting three of them. I have repaired quite a few punctures before I perfectly know how to fit them. These were faulty I have no doubt.

Hello. Thank you for leaving a review. I would recommend visiting one of our in store workshops to get the rim double checked for any objects which may be causing the frequent punctures. If there is a fault with the inner tubes, the workshop team will be happy to exchange for another set.

Hit a small pot hole and bangh

Just replaced inner-tube and began riding, hit a small pot hole and heard a bang. I have been riding the same route daily with no issues until today.

I'm sorry to read that you suffered a tyre pinch flat on your recent ride.
If you feel the innertube was to blame, please feel free to return it to us for a refund or an exchange.

Something has changed with these inner tubes

I have been using them for 2 years and in the last week, I went through 5, all went in the same place near the valve - has the supplier/raw material changed?

    7/19/2019
    icon-circle-checkmark verified purchase
Thank you for your feedback regarding these inner tubes. I can confirm that the supplier has not changed therefore I am unsure why they have failed at the same location. I have forwarded this review on to the production team at b'Twin.
It may be worth (as a precaution) checking the valve hole in the rim to be sure it is not contributing to the issue.
If you are not happy, then please feel free to return them to us for an alternative model.

    All four was faulty.

Purchased two twin packs and all tubes have a very small air leak near the value. Poor quality.

Thank you for your comments regarding these innertubes. All feedback is sent to the brand for investigation. If they are faulty, I trust you were able to return them for a refund or an exchange with no fuss. Very frustrating I'm sure.

Burst again and again and again oh and again

I purchased 2 sets of these (So 4 tubes in total), each time I pumped them to the required PSI as stated BY decthalon on their products and each time the tube has burst after anything ranging from 20 minutes to 3 days. I have checked the tyre wall, tape etc and there are no flints etc. I initially thought my decathlon pump was faulty (gauge showing the wrong psi) but I am now 100% certain it is down to these poor quality tubes. Save yourself the hassle and do not buy these not matter how cheap they are.

Thank you for your feedback regarding these innertubes. If you believe they are faulty please feel free to return them to us for a refund or exchange. It's worth checking if they burst in the same place. It is a torn seam. Is it a simple hole. Does it happen on the front and rear.

    Additional Product Information

How to choose your inner tube

Check the information indicated on the sidewall of the tyre (diameter and width). For example, 700 x 23 means your tyre is 700mm in diameter and 23mm wide.On the sidewall, you will also find the dimensions in mm in international ETRTO measurements. For example: 23-622 means your tyre is 23mm wide with an inner diameter of 700mm (so 700 x 23).

    Removing an inner tube

Remove the used inner tube using B'Twin tyre levers (item code 8047839).

What to check before installing your new inner tube

Check the condition of your tyre and replace it if necessary.Make sure no objects are lodged in the tyre.Check the condition of your tyre rim strip. A rim strip that is even slightly bent can cause punctures.Check that your rim does not have any other issues that could damage your inner tube.

    Fitting your inner tube

Pre-inflate the inner tube slightly to avoid pinching.Insert the valve, making sure you are using the correct valve for your rim.Put the inner tube entirely inside the tyre so that it fits inside the rim.Take care not to pinch the inner tube when fitting.

    Mounting the tyre

Start by mounting the tyre onto the wheel on the opposite side to the valve.Finish mounting the tyre at the valve to avoid pinching the inner tube.Never mount your tyre with a screwdriver or a tyre lever, as you risk pinching and puncturing the inner tube.

    Inflating the tyre

Inflate your tyre carefully, to the pressure recommended by the manufacturer (visible on the tyre sidewall in PSI or bars, 1 bar = 14.51 PSI).Regularly check that your tyre is in the correct position as you inflate it.

    Tip from the pros

To avoid punctures from pinching and for best tyre performance, we recommend that you check your tyres and inflate them to the suggested pressure before every ride.
