Product Customer Reviews

These tents are fantastic. I went to download festival 2019 our tent had broke and flooded and someone had to go home so they left us this tent. Not a signal leak in all that weather. 1000 people went home because of the weather. And this little thing managed to hold up
This tent was perfect it was black out perfect for hot days and bright early mornings, this size was perfect, easy to put up, putting away not so easy, the clasp broke on day two of use and ruined it for me. Decathlon offered to replace or refund so the service was awesome!
No good for 3 people just fit 2 in and no good if your over 5ft 10 inches because if you are your feet would stick out laying flat of course unless you like to curl up, it stays dark not as dark as I thought it would be, only used it for 3 nights and there was only a drop of rain so don't know how it would be under heavy down pours and it was a little pricey paying for name and the effect of it staying darker than your cheaper tent.
We bought this last year as a last minute purchase before a camping trip. We chose this model specifically for the blackout feature as camping with little people. My son and I were in my Mountain Hardware geodesic (great tent itself) standard tent. We both woke at silly o'clock, whilst my wife and 3yo slept through until much later... And that has happened time and time again. When my son and I tried it... same result. It's easy to pitch and put away, supremely thought out bit of kit - well done Quechua. Only negative for me, as with all these style tents, you can't backpack with them due to the size when put away.
The black out is great and keeps the tent fresh, easy to put up and easy to collapse takes no time at all
Spacious for two. Cavernous for one. Good space around doorway for stashing shoes, waterbottles, etc. under cover. Only slight comment against is that you don't know when it is morning! The blackout is very efficient. Reflects heat and keeps pretty cool inside, as long as the door is not open and facing the sun
I bought the 3 person blackout pop up tent for a festival and easily put it up and down without help. It is luxurious for 1 or fine for 2 people but like most tents wouldn't actually fit 3 adults in unless you had no stuff or airbeds! It rained and it stayed dry. Nice to have a double skin on a pop up. It is actually quite dark inside in the morning which is nice. My only feedback would be that it would be useful to have more loops inside to hang things from and some way to peg down the front middle of the tent. Happy with it though and would encourage others to buy it.
These tents are fab and remarkably robust. I work in events and someone dropped a pallet load of steel deck on mine. After we cleared the deck the tent popped up as if nothing had happened. Even had a few holes however weirdly didn’t leak when it rained. Well worth the money and keeps you super cool on hot days.
I bought this tent for my two teen daughters to share. With two airbeds and all their stuff, there was still enough room. The Fresh and Black coating was tested to the max on a very hot and sunny weekend in North Wales. Their tent was much cooler and darker than mine! It was very quick and easy to pitch. A little bit trickier to get back into the bag but I'm sure we'll get the knack next time. All in all, a great value tent with great technical features. I am now looking at a bigger version for myself!
Having owned tents of all values this has to be up there, quality bit of kit.
Time equals money, this tent is somple to put up, a real joy, 100% recommend
Really pleased with this. Very easy to put up and just as easy to put down with simple step by step guide and colour coded tags. Would definitely recommend. Bought the 3 person which is very spacious ideal for two people with enough room for bags etc.
I have had this tent for about a year now, and can offer a considered review. I bought it for use in the garden, and occasional car trips, and it has proved excellent. Putting up is dead easy - a realistic time is 2-3 minutes, including the minimum number of pegs (4 in my opinion). Taking down is like wrestling an octopus, and I am sure I will break it one day. The tent does live up to its name - keeps out the light wonderfully, even during daylight. Not black, but easily dark enough to carry on sleeping. It is also quite cool. Downsides (I knew of these before buying, so didn't downrate) - it is not for the tallest of people. I am 6ft and find it ok, but taller might struggle. There is no porch, so gear will need to come inside. I bought the 3 man for me and my dog, and it is ample.
This tent is not just easy and quick to set-up and set-down it offers something that not many tents out there offers - a Pitch Black environment for sleeping!
I bought this tent with the sole purpose of taking it on a 4 week trip to Southern Africa. The tent is a fantastic piece of engineering and very well thought out. It takes a few attempts to master the re-packing, but once you've got it mastered its OK. We experienced temperature changes of +4C to 39C. The tent was fantastic at keeping the tent cool during the heat of the day. It was considerably cooler inside, than the outside air temperature. But I found the tent has a major weakness in that the outside entrance zip is not substantial enough. We found after a couple of weeks the zip starting to stick and became difficult to open and close. Everyday we would clean the zip with fresh water, but the problem became worse and by the third week the zip failed. The zip fitted in this tent is not strong enough. I appreciate that this is not an expensive tent, but for the sake of a few pence, why not put a stronger zip in. Sadly I will have to return the tent for either repair or replacement as it is no longer useable.

Additional Product Information
Pitching/folding
Quick to pitch. Free-standing tent (place it wherever you like, and if there's no wind, no need for pegs = ready to use!). Easy to fold thanks to the Easy guiding system.
Mattress compatibility
We recommend you use the tent with the self-inflating or trekking mattress measuring 60 cm maximum. We do not recommend the use of inflating mattresses over 6 cm height in this tent due the reduction in living space and resistance to condensation.
Ventilation
Flysheet with 2 side panels that can be opened out and attached to the side guy ropes (open from the inside). Air can circulate in the bedroom. The entire rear flysheet can also be lifted from the inside, by pulling on a string. 2 spaces between the flysheet and the ground on each side in the bedroom to enable the air to renew itself and limit natural condensation. Fresh concept to reduce the heat from the sun.
Waterproofing
All Quechua tents are validated in a laboratory (whole tent under 200 L/sqm/h for 4 hours), as well as in the field.(2000mm PU-coated polyester fly sheet, 120g/sqm polyethylene groundsheet, all seams sealed using thermobonded tape). A breathable polyester bedroom under the fly sheet means you aren't in contact with the condensation that forms naturally on the inside of the fly sheet.
Resistance to wind
We test all out tents in a wind tunnel on a turntable to expose each side to the wind. A properly pitched tent with all guy ropes fitted around the tent must remain habitable in wind speeds up to 50 km/h near the ground (Force 6).
