At Decathlon, our teammates and our customers are at the heart of our community. Our number one priority is their health and yours, as well as that of our wider community. With the crisis we face now, our values of 'vitality' and 'responsibility', as well as 'solidarity', are more important than ever and will allow us to fight through these difficult moments together.

Our top priority is keeping our customers safe and healthy when visiting one of our stores!💙
We have altered the way our customers move through the store in each of the Decathlon Australia stores.
--> We are maintaining social distancing, keeping a minimum of 2 meters between people and using markings on the floor when queuing at checkout.
--> We are monitoring the number of customers inside the store to ensure there is ample space for our customers to shop in the safest environment.
Our top priority is keeping you safe and healthy when visiting our stores as we move through this challenging time together.
 

ARE YOUR STORES AND WEBSITE OPEN? 

Yes, our five stores and our website are operating as usual: you can come to shop in one of our stores, use our 2hours Click&Collect service, or have your products delivered at home with standard or express services.

WHAT IS DECATHLON DOING TO GUARANTEE MY SAFETY WHILE SHOPPING IN-STORE OR ONLINE?

Please be assured that for a few weeks now, our teams have been preparing for this situation, and as such, have implemented some preventative measures which are highlighted below to try and help stop the spread of this virus.
 

  • Each store has refocused and increased its efforts and frequency on cleaning, with special attention to all contact surfaces such as our tills, EFTPOS readers, touch screens and door handles. We are disinfecting all of these surfaces regularly throughout the day.
  • Our blue baskets and shopping trolleys will be disinfected after each use.
  • Our staff wash their hands every hour throughout the day. Teammates will each have a pair of their own gloves to handle cash especially.
  • We are trying our best to practice social distancing, keeping a minimum of 2 meters between us, so please be mindful of both teammates and other customers as much as you physically can.
  • Please try to avoid as much as possible, testing any equipment in store for the face. We have removed the displays but ask for your help on this during this time.
  • The Decagrill sausage sizzle has been stopped until further notice.
  • Sanitiser will be available for both teammates & customers within the next few days. We do have customer bathrooms where soap is always available on all sites to wash your hands.
  • Our free Bike Servicing policy (with purchase of a Decathlon Bike) has been extended beyond 3 months, to offer protection to customers who may feel unsafe coming in.

ARE YOU STILL PROVIDING DELIVERY SERVICE?

We definitely are! Here are the options available:

  • Home delivery, standard or express: The delivery fee as well as the delivery lead-time will be displayed at the checkout. Note that we offer FREE standard delivery for orders above $80, excluding voluminous orders. For the safety of our customers and delivery partners, all delivery orders will be left in a safe place at your postal address where possible.
  • If you're in a hurry, we offer our FREE 2-hours Click & Collect service at any of our store locations.
  • Exceptionally and temporary, in order to help everyone staying active at home without taking too much risks of commuting, we're opening a few contact-less Click & Collect locations across Sydney and Melbourne. While shopping on decathlon.com.au, you'll be able to find these locations as well as their opening hours right on the product page.

CAN THE EASYBREATH MASK BE USED FOR MEDICAL PURPOSE?

Over the past few days there have been stories circulating online that the Easybreath mask can be used to protect against the Coronavirus, but we must be clear that it has not been designed for this purpose.

It has been designed as a snorkeling mask and we do not recommend making any modifications to it for yourself that could impact the flow of air into the mask.  

In case of use for other purposes than swimming or snorkeling, and/or in case of alterations made to the product, Decathlon Australia (Pty Ltd) accepts no liability for any form of loss or injury caused.

At the same time, and in the interest of total transparency, Decathlon teams around the world are assisting technical experts with tests to see whether the mask may or may not be adapted to help in this fight against COVID-19 by sharing 3D drawings of the Easybreath mask. We will keep our Australian customers informed of the evolution of these tests.
